Blizz of Rock: A Journey of Music and Connection

Blizz of Rock was founded in 2007 by Ove Lund, born out of a passion for music and the support of incredible friends. What started as a small idea soon grew into something much bigger—an energetic web radio station that captured the hearts of listeners around the world.

As we began to connect with music lovers globally, Blizz of Rock quickly gained traction. Artists from all corners of the world—from Peru, the USA, Sweden, Germany, Norway, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Mexico—joined the station, bringing their unique voices to our listeners. With a growing community of listeners and fans, a chatroom was created to give everyone a chance to speak directly to their favorite artists, creating an even stronger connection between the two.

Over the years, Blizz of Rock became a platform where musicians could share their work, and artists’ tunes filled speakers worldwide. As the station’s reputation spread, we even began receiving promos with jingles and other exciting collaborations, marking Blizz of Rock as a notable name in the music world.

However, in 2014, Blizz of Rock faced some tough challenges. The radio station went down, and while the music continued, we lost the energy of live DJs. Artists and fans started to drift away, and I, Ove, take full responsibility for this. At that time, I found it difficult to keep up with the rapid changes in technology, website management, and the increasing battle with spam. But this period taught me valuable lessons, and I am now focused on bringing Blizz of Rock back stronger than ever.

Since 2015, Blizz of Rock has had its ups and downs, but the mission has always remained the same: to support and promote bands and artists. Today, we’re excited to continue the journey of connecting artists and fans through our web radio station—a non-profit platform fueled purely by passion for music.

We may not generate income, but the joy of sharing great music with the world is our true reward. Stay tuned as we work hard to get Blizz of Rock back on its feet, ready for an even brighter future!
