Interview with Aven from the Norwegian Rock 'n' Roll band Aventyr by Ove

Hello Aven , thank you so much for giving Blizz Of Rock this interview
First of all Aven,  I’m really honored to talk to the guitar player behind the Norwegian great rock band Aventyr

When was the band Aventyr  formed? And why this name? What is the story behind the name?
Aven: Anventyr was formed in 2001. "Eventyr" is the norwegian word for fairytale, and my surname is Aven. Aventyr is a kind of pun.

If I’ve done my homework,  I know you released a few demo’s in 2002/2003. How did that come about?
Aven: That's rigth. You've done youre homework allright. We did some demos in a local studio in our hometown. The outcome of the studio sessions wasn't what we expected. But some of the songs came out OK.

Rumors has it 2003 was a bad year for Aventyr, could you tell me what happened?
Aven: the place were we used to rehearse burned down to the ground. After the fire some members fell behind and it took a while before Aventyr was back on track.

Will we see any albums from Aventyr in the future?
Aven: Hopefully yes, but not in the near future

Is there any way to download or buy Aventyr music?
Aven: No, not yet, but you can listen to Aventyr at myspace. www.myspace.com/aventyr check it out!

You told me that the drummer got himself a new hobby. He gave up the music and climbed on a bike and left the “House”. What happened?
Aven: The bike took a lot of his time and that left less time to rehearse with Aventyr. We chose rock'n'roll, he chose the harley!

Does this mean that Aventyr, the great Norwegian Rock ‘n’ roll band does not have a drummer?
Aven: We just got our self a new one. In the mean time we used a session drummer known as "Ralla" (Animal Alpha)

Other artist that have left the group have “escaped” to other bands like Funeral,Taake og Grotesque Hysterectomy. Is it hard to be a musician in Aventyr?
Aven: It's not hard to be in a band, but to find the right people!

Is it possible to see Aventyr live on tour?
Aven: I doubt we gonna go on tour, but we migth play in your hometown. Keep your eyes and ears open!

I know that you guys have played with an another great band from Norway who I interviewed a couple of months ago, Backstreet Girls. Please tell me how that went, I guess you guys had a lot of fun?
Aven: It came out great! At the time i lived in a hostel. I invited the hole band home, and we had a hell of a party! Everything included!

If there was one place in the world wide that you could play Aven, where would that be?
Aven: Not any particular place. I do not fancy the big stages, but the small dirty pubs!

What’s your opinion about the Rock ‘n’ roll coming back? (If it ever were gone)
Aven: For me the rock has never been gone. R'n'R forever!

Any bands or artists you would love to have with you on your tour?
Aven: Gry Jannicke Jarlum!

What sort of age group are you attracting with your music?
Aven: Any age between rock and roll!

If you got the chance to have a concert in the US, what could they expect from Aventyr?
Aven: Dirty bastards with beerbellies and thin hear...

You told me that you went to Portugal to participate on a collection album
Aven: We didn't actually go to Portugal, but we participated on a portuguese collection album that was relased in most of the world.

Is there a funny story you could share with us?
If you meet up backstage on a gig, I will SHOW you one!

What is your highlight of your careers as rock musician?
I am still waiting for that one.
